Hello friends and welcome to Half Past Seven! Your styling assistant that'll take you from day to night and everything in between. My name is Kandis Isom and I am the founder of Half Past Seven. I founded Half Past Seven because I believe when you look good you feel good! Whether you're getting ready for your day job early in the morning or getting ready for a night out with the girls, it's always half past seven somewhere!

I'm excited and looking forward to the launch of my fashion baby, Half Past Seven. In the brainstorming phase it was very important for me to be able to have a space that is intimate and personal where we can connect. I added the blog to the site so I can share my fashion journey, styling tips and tricks as well as what is trending in the fashion world.
To kick off the first blog post of the new year I want to talk about color! Pantones "Very Peri" color to be specific.

On January 1, 2022 Pantone revealed its color of the year, Very Peri. What makes this color a step up from lilac are the red and blue undertones.

This color is perfect for the year 2022 and the perfect segway into Spring and Spring/Summer fashion. I can't speak for anyone else but right after the holidays I'm immediately ready for warm weather and Spring fashion! I'm always ready for what's new and next. I also love that this color is bright and vibrant giving positivity and hope for the future.

There are several ways to style your Very Peri! Here are my top 4...
1) Monochromatic
Rock this color from head to toe feeling bold and confident. In other words you are making a statement when you enter the room yet not making a sound.

2) Color Block
Pair your Very Peri with another color that's just as bold such as teal or orange.

3) Black and White
Pair Very Peri back to black and white making your styling a bit more simplistic yet trendy.

4) Pop of Color
Liking the color but not ready to commit? Just add a small pop of Very Peri in your accessories or nail color!

And there you have it ladies and gentlemen! Have a "Very Peri" New Year and we will see you next time at Half Past Seven, The Blog.

Periwinkle, which I used to call the color of the sky right before it snows in winter, is one if my favorite colors. I'm excited that it's a fashion vibe for 2022! I rarely find the color in clothes and even nail salons. I've gotten close, but the colors are usually more lilac or baby blue.
I love the idea of adding orange or dark puprple to Peri. The look pops! I will dabble in putting a look together using these "very" vibrant colors.
Thanks for sharing!
