8 Fall 2023 Fashion Trends To Shop Now

Hello and welcome to Half Past Seven, fashion styling that'll take you from day to night and everything in between. I can't believe we're here... yes FALL!!!! Soon it'll be the holiday's and before you know it we're in 2024. Where has this year gone!? Even though August - October is my personal "Italian holiday" due to birthdays, anniversaries, and this year, concerts (Lawrd everyone is on tour!) I won't be doing any personal or editorial styling however if there is anything urgent you need styling wise please reach out and we can absolutely make something work either virtually or in person. I'll still be posting when I can to provide tips, tricks, and inspiration as we embark on this new season. With that being said... let's get into it! Here are 8 fall 2023 fashion trends to shop now...

Fall is my favorite season especially for fashion!! Those that get it... get it lol... Now our focus for the year has been on building and maintaining great capsule wardrobes that will carry us from season to season BUT as seasons change it's good to sprinkle in 2 - 3 trendy pieces that will pair well with your capsule / staple pieces. So let's get into these trends for fall 2023! There are a few but these are my top 8 that are trending for the new season yet can be repurposed in future seasons to come.

1) Classic Tailoring

The recipe of classic tailoring is tried and true. Think Donna Karen, Tom Ford, or Saint Laurent with inspired looks at stores such as H&M, COS, and The Row. Classic tailored pieces really speak to attention to detail and that you have made an investment in your wardrobe. From short suits to blazers we're adding a little more structure to our wardrobe this fall.

2) Red All Over

Every season there is a color that takes the industry by storm -- this fall it's safe to say, red, will be coming to a H&M near you. Go monochromatic with all red or throw in pops of red with your shoes, accessories, or layering pieces.

3) Dark Romance

Think dreamy and ethereal but dark. There are only two things that come to mind when I picture dark romance -- Wednesday Addams and the movie "Black Swan". Victorian inspired details, lace, and black are the perfect combinations to channel your inner dark romantic side.

4) Leather Sets

I LOVE a good classic leather unit!!! From H to T this will always be a fall staple for me. We all know when the temperatures drop a leather jacket is a must but when you want to take things up a notch pull out the leather set!

5) No Pants, No Problem

Think legs for dayssssss lol... Sheer leggings or tights paired with briefs / boy shorts and a long line blazer or sweater will create the perfect look.

6) Sheer Romance

This trend was a hit for spring / summer and she continues to thrive for fall! Whether it be in the form of a sheer top, dress, or skirt, sheer and lace pieces are having a moment that is here to stay.

7) Butter Up

Another major color trend we'll see this season is butter yellow. I love this color because it's a slight step up than a neutral color -- a welcomed contrast to our go-to fall earth tones.

8) Cool + Cozy

This trend is to have and to hold as we double down on ultra cozy outerwear pieces this season. Shearling pieces, wool coats, and puffers are all cold weather staples that will have you set for the fall season.

And there we have it! Invest in a few of these trendy pieces that still fit within your style aesthetic and you'll be the bell of the ball this fall season. Remember it's fun getting dressing up!
